[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Hank Williams Jr.[/lastfm] singles out ESPN and Fox & Friends in a new song.
After being dropped from his 22-year spot on ESPN’s Monday Night Football broadcasts last week due to comments he made on Fox News’ Fox & Friends, the singer addresses both TV networks in the tune, “Keep the Change”.
Lyrics include: “So Fox ‘n Friends wanna put me down / Ask for my opinion / Twist it all around,” and “Well two can play that gotcha game you’ll see.”
Additionally, he encourages viewers not to watch Fox & Friends or ESPN and says that the U.S. is “going down the drain” and that’s turning into “The United Socialist States of America.”
Also in response to the events of last week, Hank, Jr. also appeared on ABC’s The View. “Whoopi and Joy understood what I was saying,” Hank, Jr. says on his website. “After watching the clip of their show, I knew I needed to talk to them first. Who knows, Whoopi may run for President and I’ll be her Vice President…now that will really stir it up!”
