A man took on a mountain and the mountain won.  At least this time.  And if [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jake Owen[/lastfm] hasn’t had enough bad luck lately with getting his wisdom teeth removed now he finds himself in pain once again after a Snowboarding trip went bad in Colorado!  Who’s gonna take care of him? What does he have to say about it all?

I think we all know Jake is a guy that likes to live on the edge, wake boarding in the summer, and snow boarding during the winter.  Even occasionally ‘Buttering a biscuit.’

And you thought I was kidding.  Well one thing thats not a joke is the injury poor Jake got while hitting the slopes on Friday the 13th.  It obviously wasn’t his day.  I guess Jake and a few friends flew to Colorado for a weekend on the slopes but while going down one time he hit a patch of ice and ended up falling down.

Yes, Jake got hurt, unfortunately breaking his collar bone.  I guess they didn’t think it would be that bad, but they flew him back to Nashville immediately to see the Tennessee  Titans trainer.  The trainer realized it was pretty bad, ‘Even worse then some football players.’

In the Dr. waiting on my sentence.. You know it's not good when he comes in and says "That break is worse than the football teams". Damn.—

Immediately they scheduled surgery for today at 1:30 to get a few plates and pins put in.  And unfortunately causing his management to cancel a few shows in Chicago and a few other cities, but they are already rescheduled in April.  I think thats the thing that hurts Jake the most, is letting his fans down.  I mean as fans we understand the circumstances, but still we hate to wait any longer to see his shows!

Surgery scheduled for 1:30 tomorrow. Thx for all the well wishes. I'm getting a couple plates and pins put in. Sorry again for cancel shows—

So if ya get a chance, send @JakeOwen a tweet, let him know your thinkin about him and supporting him.  In an unlucky, lucky way it happened now, which will give him plenty of time to get healed and ready for the Brothers Of The Sun Tour which will kick off later this year with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kenny Chesney [/lastfm]and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Tim McGraw[/lastfm]!

So far he has received a lot of support and care from friends and family, but i know theres lot of you ladies out there that would love to take care of Jake.  So get in line, and take a number, because knowin Jakes momma she’s probably first in line!  After all she’s the one who took him for his wisdom tooth surgery!
