As a North Carolina girl [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kellie Pickler[/lastfm] grew up on traditional country, and thats exactly where she wanted to go with her new album ’100 Proof.’  This of course is her 3rd album to hit stores, which is hard work to come out with something different for a third album. 

When asked what she wanted to do with her 3rd album she told CMT.com that ”I really wanted to take people back to the roots of country music, the music that I grew up on.”  A lot of traditional country themes, family relationships and getting rowdy at the bar.

I got a copy of the album last night and spent a little time listening to it and noticed there was a lot of steel guitar throughout the songs on the album.  Kellie told CMT.com that the steel guitar is one of her favorite albums and she thought it would be fun having it in different songs.
