Ohio Teen Brooke Dutridge Asks Local American Idol Winner Scotty McCreery To Prom
The biggest night of a girl’s high school life will always be prom. Girls spend all year thinking of the right date, dress, hair, limo, accessories and shoes just for one night of memories that will last a lifetime. But what about those girls who have more on their daily plates than outfits and Friday night plans?
Brooke Dutridge is unlike many other high school girls in her class. She suffers from a condition called Full Body Reflex Neurovascular Dystrophy (RND/RSD) along with Dysautonomia and Gastroparesis. Basically, Brooke is in a state of constant and consistent pain. In order for Brooke to celebrate a somewhat normal senior year, her family is on a mission: get Brooke to prom with American Idol Scotty McCreery!
Brooke’s mother is even helping! After creating a Facebook event to gain follower support, she posted: For those that know Brooke – will tell you she has a smile on her face as she pushes through what she is dealing with – she does not want her friends to suffer with her or feel sorry for her…. She just wants to be a “normal” high school senior…. The highlight of Senior year is the Prom – and what better way to make it the best of ever for her is to have SCOTTY MCCREERY escort her!
So what can you do? Send Scotty a tweet, write on his Facebook wall and get his attention! Everyone deserves a special prom night and Brooke is no different. We support you at The New 103.7 in Charlotte!
