‘All For The Hall’ Event Celebrates Past 30-40 Years Of Great Country Bands « The New 103.7 – Charlotte's Home For Country's Hottest Hits

The Annual “We’re All For The Hall” Nashville benefit concert for the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum had a new twist this year as host Keith Urban and Museum Board of Trustee President Vince Gill chose a theme honoring great bands of country music over the last 30-40 years!

The benefit concert features a star-studded lineup of country music artists volunteering their time to raise money for the Country Music Hall of Fame. A sold out audience was treated to performances by The Oak Ridge Boys, Alabama, Diamond Rio, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Pistol Annies with Miranda Lambert, The Band Perry, Thompson Square and more!

Keith Urban arranged surprise performances by Country Music Hall of Famers Don Williams and Merle Haggard, who walked on to the stage to a very loud and warm welcome! But the bigger surprise was aimed at Urban himself as he received an invite to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

“I’m shocked, I’ve got to say,” Urban told the crowd, “it’s a huge honor and how beautiful to have this happen tonight of all nights.” (Source: Washington Post) Keith Urban will be formally inducted on Saturday, April 21st at the Grand Ole Opry House.

Vince Gill, a former band member of Pure Prairie League, performed “Amie” and covered a Buck Owens’ classic “Together Again” to toast the museum’s new exhibit, The Bakersfield Sound: Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, and California Country.

The evening ended with the entire cast of performers joining Vince Gill, Merle Haggard and Keith Urban onstage singing The Beatles‘ classic hit “I Saw Her Standing There.”

This perhaps, was one of the best set lists ever!
