Catherine Lane of The New 1037 in Charlotte, NC, talked on the phone with Zac Brown about his new charity called “Camp Southern Ground” to help children overcome emotional, academic, or social difficulties that they face in their communities.

Located 45 minutes south of Atlanta, Camp Southern Ground will be able to house 300 youth during a given week.  And during the off season, the camp will become a place for universities to use and help enhance the school curriculum and get hands on with experiments.  And, it seems that the camp will be state of the art with technology so classes can interact with schools all across the world!

Zac appreciates the camp so much because he grew up as a camper, camp counselor, and camp staffer and appreciates “the difference in a kid’s life that you can make in one week in just immersing them in a whole new environment and teaching them what matters.”

Zac Brown’s new album will be coming out July 10th!

Plus in the interview, see if Zac Brown can answer some True/False questions about his website!
