Sure, it’s all the rage now. People are actually going to plastic surgeons to get “butt implants”. But when I was growing up, having a big bottom was NOT in style AT ALL. I was teased mercilessly as a child, all the way through high school, for having “curves”. Back then though, the bullies used much meaner words. I used to measure a good day at school by how many times I was bullied and I mean people can be MEAN and HURTFUL. Girls would shout out the hurtful words and phrases all the way down the hall. It was so embarrassing and it made me cry almost every day. I could tell you some stories, but that’s not the message.
I’m here to tell you it DOES get better. What was considered something to be bullied about when I was growing up is now celebrated as a beautiful trait. My gosh, Kim Kardashian has created a whole brand around her bountiful backside.
If you are being bullied, for whatever reason, please trust me, it does get better. Hold your head high. Be proud of who you are. People who bully others are most likely very sad and very insecure. Say a prayer for them and most certainly “bless their heart”.
