Girls, do we REALLY want the truth when we ask our guys this question, REALLY?  A new study says 82 percent of us do want to know how you really feel about the way we look and 70 percent think their man will answer the question truthfully.

I have to be honest, when I ask the question, I’m probably thinking I look pretty good in the dress I’m wearing, otherwise I wouldn’t have chosen it.  I know I’m probably going to get a lot of flack for feeling that way but,  I kinda do.  BUT, I don’t get mad if he says “Yep, you’re lookin’ kinda big in that dress”.  I’m still going to wear it.

I thought I’d ask one of our American Hero interns this thought provoking question.

I ask Jay, “How do you answer when a girl asks this ‘it’s a trap!’ question?”

Jay says, “I’ve been in a few serious relationships and I like to think I know how to say certain things at certain times pertaining to how my partner asks about her appearance.  I also make it very clear, that if you want my opinion I will not beat around the bush, you’re going to get my honest opinion!

So when a lady asks, ‘does my butt look big’ in a particular outfit and it does, then I will definitely say ‘yes’.  However, a butt looking big in a dress is not a bad thing.  It is very attractive when a woman is confident in wearing an outfit that shows the curves of their body, and it is surprising to me how woman are so hesitant to show off the curves of their body.  Isn’t that the reason you bought that dress in the first place, to feel confident and show the world the body you’ve been blessed with?”

Ladies, your man loves the way you look.  So even if you get an answer you weren’t particularly looking for, don’t take it the wrong way.  We appreciate the time and effort that the ladies put into their appearance whether it’s lounging around the house on a lazy day or a night out on the town.
