St. John’s assistant Mike Dunlap was hired Monday as head coach by the Charlotte Bobcats. The team should make the announcement today.

Dunlap is a somewhat surprising hire because he has spent most of his career coaching in college. Bobcats had thrown around names like Jerry Sloan or Brian Shaw as a possible head coach.

Well we know that Mike Dunlap isn’t a name that is going to put butts in the seats…let’s hope he puts W’s in the record book!
