Luke Bryan Performs on GMA and Talks About National Anthem Controversy
Luke Bryan performed on Good Morning America earlier today. High on summertime fans packed out the venue, and Luke rocked it just like he always does.
In an interview before his performance, he talked about the recent controversy over his national anthem incident at the MLB All-Star Game. Luke said it was his patriotism that compelled him to write the lyrics on his hand in the first place.
According to a GMA article, this is what Luke said.
“Every artist I’ve talked to in Nashville is like, ‘Oh, the national anthem,’ and you get to where you’re almost scared that you don’t want to do it. That stage and being in that moment was certainly one of the biggest moments of my life. I was just really wanting to get it right.”
Luke also apologized to his fans following the ordeal, and he used four tweets to do so!
Don’t know about you, but judging from the performance this morning, Luke still makes plenty of speakers go boom boom despite any of this controversy. Check out the photos of his performance this morning!
