NASCAR is going that extra mile at The Magic Mile in New Hampshire this Sunday for the Lenox Industrail Tools 301.
And I’m putting my money on Ryan Newman. Last year at Loudon teammates Newman and Tony Stewart started and finished this race in first and second place. And Tony won last week in Daytona, so it’s Ryan’s turn now.
Plus, I really like his wife Krissie on a personal level. She’s so genuine, and sees the privilege of being married to a NASCAR driver as a means to make a difference.
Also, Penske Racing is using Sam Hornish Jr. to fill in for suspended AJ Allmendinger for a second straight week.
But more than just AJ’s test results are on the bubble in this race. Only eight races remain before the cutoff point for the Chase. While all are crucial for championship contenders to make the play-offs, the timing and location of this week’s race makes it like a sound check for the big show. Kyle and Carl are floating on top of that bubble right now.
The Nationwide FW Webb 200 green flag waves at 3:30 p.m. Saturday and the engines will be started at 1 p.m. for the Sprint Cup Lenox Industrial Tools 301 on Sunday. It’s going to be a bubble blowing race, that’s for sure.Shake-n-Bake,
