If you are a Conservative Republican in Charlotte right now, you must be looking for ways to show your GOP pride. Even as Charlotte is becoming consumed with DNC hype, there are still several events for right-leaning citizens to get active in the political scene.

Rock The Red

Wednesday September 5 at 5:00 p.m. entertainers and Republican speakers will take the stage! Charlie Daniels, Travis Tritt, Lee Brice and others will play. Speakers include Thom Tillis, Katie Pavlich and several others. Sarah Palin, Mike Huckabee and Chuck Norris have all been invited to make appearances as well. First Tuesdays at The Mecklenburg GOP

Located at the MeckGOP Headquarters, this event will be a time to show support for your GOP candidates and leaders. You’ll be able to meet MeckGOP officers and leaders, and find new ways to deepen your involvement in turning Mecklenburg County RED in 2011 and 2012! There’s no better time to get involved! The Headquarters are located at 1515 Mockingbird Lane, Suite 111 in Charlotte.

The Billy Graham Library

While this venue is not scheduled to host any convention parties, but several sources say that it will serve as a hangout for the GOP and its supporters.

Dan Forest to Speak to the Republican Women’s Club

It will take place two weeks before the convention, but Rep. Dan Forest, lieutenant governor nominee, will speak to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Republican Women’s Club on Aug. 22.

He’ll speak to the group’s noon luncheon at Maggiano’s restaurant at SouthPark Mall. The cost is $26 for members and $31 for non-members. For more information, visit the website here.
