He also played a video showcasing what he called the theme song to reality TV show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Uh, what?
Ryan Gosling was Jimmy’s first guest–and Brad showed he was a secret superfan, as he was seen screaming (alongside fellow fans) when Ryan walked by on his way to the stage.
Brad then took a seat for a chat. When the album title came up, Jimmy at first suggested Thriller (“or Thriller 2 would be good, too”), and Brad said he was thinking about Red (“Has anyone named their album Red lately?”).
But then seriously, Brad did finally spill the beans. “I’m thinking about calling it Wheelhouse,” he said.
It’s all about leaving your comfort zone,” or your “wheelhouse,” he said. “And we really have tried to go out on a limb with this record, see how we could stretch things.”
There you have it – my new album is going to be called “Wheelhouse”

And that TV theme song? Brad calls it “The Ballad of Honey Boo Boo,” and you have to see it to believe it.
Brad also talked about his recently released “Southern Comfort Zone” video, as well as the late-night recording sessions that are still taking place in a studio on his property. ”We’ve got about a month left” of recording, he told Jimmy.
He and his band then played a rousing version of “Southern Comfort Zone.” After the broadcast finished, he also played a second song for the audience.
Wheelhouse is scheduled for release on April 9.
