It’s 2013 and B.S. Backstage is back! Big Sexy is getting up close and personal with your favorite stars before they take the stage in your favorite Charlotte spots.
This week, The Chris Lane Band and Chase Rice both took the stage at Coyote Joe’s and took some time before rocking out to the crowd to chat with Big Sexy.
The Chris Lane Band is a staple in Charlotte, playing a few of The New 103.7 events already including our pre-show tailgates at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre and Doghouse tailgates before Panthers games, but being on the Coyote Joe’s stage means a lot to Chris and his band. ”[I've spent] too many times [intoxicated in the crowd] and seeing some of my favorite artists, it’s crazy I get to get on the same stage and do the same thing,” Chris admits.
Things are really starting to look up for the band. Their new album Let’s Ride was released on iTunes this past April and now fans can expect a rerelease full of three new exclusive tracks. The Let’s Ride Deluxe Version hits iTunes on February 5.
When it comes to the spotlight, Chase Rice is no amateur. After spending time as a reality show contestant on Survivor, he’s had his fair share of memorable moments but playing Coyote Joe’s might top the cake. ”I saw Eric Church here a couple times, it’s just crazy man,” Chase reminisces. “I remember being in the crowd like they were God.” And now Chase is making his way onto the stage without a label or regular radio play, just gaining fan momentum based on talent.
Thankfully, he’s currently in talks with a new label and will hopefully be releasing some great new music to accompany his two already released albums Country As Me and Dirt Road Communion.
